Accessibility Statement

Last updated: January 2025  //  SteerClear Strategies
Our Commitment

SteerClear Strategies is committed to making this website usable by everyone, including people with disabilities. We believe access to information about navigating difficult workplaces matters for all professionals, and we want no one locked out because of how they access the web.

01

Conformance Status

Target: WCAG 2.1 Level AA

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with disabilities. Conformance with these guidelines helps make the web more user-friendly for everyone.

This site is a living document and we are actively working toward full conformance. If you encounter a barrier, please tell us -- that feedback directly shapes our improvements.

02

What We've Built In

The following accessibility features are implemented across this site:

  • A "Skip to main content" link at the top of every page for keyboard users
  • Semantic HTML with proper heading hierarchy (H1, H2, H3) so screen readers can navigate by structure
  • ARIA landmark roles (header, main, footer, navigation) on all pages
  • All images include descriptive alt text, or are marked decorative where appropriate
  • Color contrast ratios that meet or exceed WCAG AA standards for body text and interactive elements
  • All interactive elements (buttons, links, form fields) are keyboard accessible and have visible focus states
  • Form fields are labeled clearly and errors are described in text, not color alone
  • The site does not use content that flashes more than three times per second
  • Font sizes are set in relative units so they scale with browser text size preferences
  • The site is usable at 200% zoom without loss of content or functionality
03

Known Limitations

We are aware of the following areas where we are still working toward full accessibility:

  • Some older embedded content or third-party tools (such as payment processors or scheduling widgets) may not fully meet WCAG 2.1 AA. We are in contact with those vendors and will replace inaccessible tools where alternatives exist.
  • PDFs and downloadable documents are being reviewed and updated with proper tagging for screen reader compatibility.
  • Video content, when added, will include closed captions and audio descriptions.
04

Assistive Technologies We Support

This site is designed and tested to work with the following assistive technologies:

  • Screen readers including NVDA, JAWS, and VoiceOver (Mac and iOS)
  • Keyboard-only navigation (no mouse required)
  • Browser zoom up to 200%
  • Windows High Contrast Mode
  • Voice control software including Dragon NaturallySpeaking
05

Requesting Accessible Formats

If you need any content on this site in a different format -- including plain text, large print, audio, or an accessible PDF -- please contact us and we will do our best to provide it in a timely manner.

If you need to access coaching services or webinar content and encounter an accessibility barrier, contact us before purchasing and we will work with you to ensure you can participate fully.

06

Formal Complaints

We take accessibility complaints seriously. If you are not satisfied with our response to an accessibility concern, you have the right to contact the relevant enforcement body in your country:
